🎉 Our Showcase Event of the Year! 🎉
We are absolutely delighted to welcome you to our biggest event to date - Autism on the Water at Cowes Week, the world’s largest and most iconic town regatta. We are incredibly honoured to have been chosen as the Official Charity of the Event for 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to bring autistic people and their families/carers out on the water to experience the excitement and beauty of Cowes Week - completely free of charge, as always with AOTW.
What’s Happening?
🚤 Yachts & Motorboat Voyages
We’ll be running daily sailing experiences aboard two sailing yachts and one motorboat, giving guests the chance to:
Watch the thrilling race starts off the Royal Yacht Squadron
See high-speed racing from J70s and Cape 31s
Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Solent, whatever the weather
Each trip lasts around 2 hours, offering a front-row seat to all the action. You’ll be guided and supported throughout by our friendly, experienced, and autism-aware crew.
Lyra of London: Swan 431 (43 foot sailing yacht) will be taking 6 guests out.
Rachael: Hanse 325 (32 foot sailing yacht) will be taking 4 guests out.
Therapia: 6m motorboat will be taking 3 guests out.
Voyage Timings
🕒 Two sailings per day (except where noted):
Morning: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

🧾 Booking Requirements
Individual Registration:
Each attendee must complete a separate registration form.
Supervision Requirements:
All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Adults requiring high levels of support must also be accompanied by a capable and familiar carer.
One adult may accompany up to three individuals (children or adults).
All accompanying adults must also register for a ticket.
📍 Location and Check-in
Location: The Parade, Cowes (Full details will be emailed in the joining instructions the week before the event.) Check in at the Autism on the Water stand.
🚫 Do not proceed to the pontoons without a member of the team. Guests will be escorted to the boats by our volunteers.
✅ Safety Information
Life Jackets:
Must be worn on boats. These are provided and fitted by volunteers.
Pontoon Access:
Wait at check-in for your escort before approaching the pontoons.
🧳 What to Bring
Clothing: Layers and waterproof jackets recommended — it’s often cooler and breezier on the water.
Footwear: Please wear non-slip shoes like old trainers or boots. Avoid sandals or flip-flops.
📬 Communication
Please ensure your email address is correct and monitored, as all event details, confirmations, and updates will be sent via email.
🔐 Privacy and Data Handling
Your personal details will be stored securely and only used to ensure your safety and comfort.
Relevant information (e.g., name, age, autism diagnosis, support needs) may be shared with trusted event volunteers to provide appropriate support.
Contact details will only be seen by our registration and communications team.

📸 Photography and Media Consent
During registration, you’ll be asked whether you consent to photography or video.
These may be used in future promotional materials.
Declining consent will not affect your place.
You can change your consent at check-in on the day.

🕓 Arrival Time
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled sailing time. For example, if booked for 10:00 AM, aim to arrive by 9:40 AM. Arrivals after this time may forfeit their place.
