Details

For the third year running, Autism on the Water (AOTW) is absolutely delighted and honoured to have been chosen as one of the charities for the iconic Cowes Classics Week organised and run by the Royal London Yacht Club. This event is a celebration of classic yachts from the beautiful 8 meter racing machines to the fun one design racing of the Darings, Swallows and XODs. It is a sight to watch for sure!

This year, AOTW is delighted to provide three days of free of charge boating trips on the motorboat Theripia which is kindly being loaned to the charity by Phill Lupton. Theripia will take people with autism and their families out to spectate the exciting racing with two trips on Tuesday and Wednesday and one on Friday.

Numbers are strictly limited - so it is highly recommended to book early

Slots on Tuesday and Wednesday will be from 10:00am-11:30am and 12:30pm-2:00pm and the single slot on Friday will be 10:30am-12:00pm. Spaces are limited to 4 guests on each trip. Due to the high intensity and speed of the boat we are using, we are recommending the minimum age of 10 and over. All people under the age of 18 or adults with high support needs must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety - this adult must be capable of keeping an eye on all of the children and high needs adults in their care.

Trips will take place from Cowes Yacht Haven on Cowes, Isle of Wight. Please arrive 15 mins before your departure. Please ensure that you book a time slot that enables you to arrive on time.

Some of the details you provide on your booking will be passed along to our volunteers to enable them to adapt as best as possible to your needs. This will include your name, age group, time slot and whether you have consented to have photos or videos taken, which party members have autism and any additional needs that you provide regarding the physical, social and psychological needs of the members of your party. It will be limited to information that enables the volunteers to provide you with the best possible experience and so will not include your email address.

If you have any questions, please contact either Murray or Kirsty by emailling aotwofficial0@gmail.com or kirstyaotw1@gmail.com

Please ensure that you use a email address that you check regularly as all communications will be done by email.

We look forward to welcoming you! :)
